I am an emergency medicine resident at a large academic hospital – UCSF – and I often find myself stuck on questions that I cannot answer using UpToDate or WikiEM. The Why? EM blog is all about researching and answering those questions for myself, and hopefully for others as well.
I have a particular interest in toxicology and pharmacology after completing an M.S. in Pharmacology, but will take any chance to lyse some dogma or dig a little bit deeper into conventional wisdom.
